Basic Setup

Post by stoffattack » Thu Mar 06, 2008 3:30 am

Hey people,

Im a bit of a noob at producing, and just wondering what kind of stuff would be good to help me to produce some house/electro/baltimore club kind of stuff.
I've got ableton and can do the basics, what's next?

p.s- I'm a bit cheap so the more free the better

Get you some soft synths. Just google, free vst synth. A midi controller would help you out alot, but not a must have. Then start having fun making noises.

free plugins galore at www.kvraudio.com

without knowing what sort of computer you use, its hard to make specific suggestions, other than you probably shouldnt be spending any $$$ at this point.

Thanks guys,
Yeah my computers fairly hopeless, its a PC probably just above minimum requirements...
But I'm realy just eager to learn and start producing!

By the way, I'm running live 6.0.7 if that helps.

Why 6.7? 6.10 is available. Or you on a copy?
