my pound, my puppy, my pound my puppy my pound my puppy MY poUND puPPY!

fuck it. i don't support our troops. sorry. if we were fighting a real threat to our nation and our safety i would. Instead we are engendering a real threat to our nation through this bullshit. Are the troops different from the unjust war? yes, but there is no draft, and i know for a fact that if i had been a member of our armed forces before this happened and ended up being deployed, i'd be in the brig or worse right now. I have a conscience. I'm actually not capable of shutting up and doing my job if the end result is tantamount to murder.

so y'know what? i support our deserters and troops locked the fuck up in the brig. that's who i support. everybody is so scared to say that. i'm not. fuck it.

Y'know in theory I totally agree, but I believe reality is a bit more complicated than that. It's no secret that the military is not comprised of a "balanced demographic" of our society. Most who enter the military do so not out of unbridled patriotism, but desperation. I can't necessarily fault someone for doing their job. However, I won't necessarily call them a "hero" for it either. This is where I draw the line, personally.

Nah. Desperation is throwing rocks at the tank, not driving the fucking thing.

Years and months of being a total arse and then, from out of nowhere, a quote as good as that. Well done b0unce.

Anyway - the bit I don't get is that thousands and thousands of innocent people have been ripped apart by US munitions during the last five years and suddenly everyone is up in arms about one fluffy puppy dog.

Doesn't that strike you as a bit... odd?

that was a very still puppy. and some very cliché puppy whines as it was spinning around in space at high velocity. I'm gonna go for the 'not real' option.

not that this shit ain't happening, you understand, just that the video looks staged to me.

what was the recent Iraq war movie where the GI is filming himself torturing captives on his phone and sending them home? reminded me of that.

Dogs/cats etc. (espacially puppies) won't move anything if you got them in their neck. Typically their mums carry them around in this style - you're blocking some important neural strings this way. Also the dog has it's legs retracted, which is also common for a "living" dog.

absolut bsht. that the dog is narcotized or dead.

file under: people tripping out on war conditions.

Breaking News!

There is a war going on in and around Iraq!! Last time I checked, a lot of fucked up things happen during a war. They happened during Veitnam, WWII and I'm sure they happened during every other war too.

Hey, I love animals as much as the next person. Obviously, this guy has seen a lot of shit that most people don't even want to read about. I'd sure hope I wouldn't be throwing animals off of cliffs but I can't honestly say how I would respond to a situation as fucked as the current war in Iraq.

I'm all for us pulling out of that place to avoid countless situations, alot more important than this.

what you fail to realise is I'm an arse by choice...

with regard your question. well, what kind of question is that to ask me man ?
You should have a pretty firm idea of where I stand on these issues, arsery or not.
A] I'm not surprised by what happened in the video
B] I'm not up in arms about it

My curiosity is piqued by the brutality for camera routine, nothing more. And also I was wondering if it's real or not. The rest of the conversation developed naturally and this thread was not serving my 'agenda'

I do think it's also interesting, ironic, what have you, that supporters of the war would cringe at this video....sure, well done, that's odd...you're a genius.

Exactly. Dogs look like dogs, whether they're Iraqi or American.
