good thing i don't have nazi grandparents. i like rammstein though (not that they have anything to do with nazism but they ARE germans afterall(and that was a silly joke. I LOVE GERMANS

Odd very vague connection to fascism with Rammstein strangely enough.. They started off doing Laibach covers, hence the same + symbol for both bands. So, that symbol is the same as the cross that the nazis gave to Yugoslavian ss soldiers apparently, at least that's the story I heard.
Here's the image from an early Laibach record. You can see the axes forming a swastika barley.

Remember, Laibach are a band that used fascism to mock a strict communism in it's day, and later to mock the west as a new fascism. They're far from fascists themselves.

Rammstein even took that a step further and named themselves after a US military base. They probably get a sort of glee out of knowing that very very subtly they are mocking german anti nazi laws with their co-opting of that symbol.

So there's the connection.

edit: yeah well, i like them for the music and lyrics (and the fact they have the guts to make a song like mein teil.)
