My live is working just fine (apart from all the bugs)

I am using Live in a completely studio based situation!

the fact that when it crashes, it just loads up again with the option of "RECOVERING" the file previous, is a complete god send!

I spent 3 hours working on a remix the other day in Logic, and even tho I have a pot that says 'SAVE', i kinda get carried away! then when i do something simple like change the 'EXS24' sample for one to another,......................... it crashes! .......... Lost everything!

So for all them people that are moaning because it is crashing for this and that! At least you can easily recover your work! With Logic 'on the mac', you've lost the lot!

Auto save in Cubase.... yeah thay ought to do it it into Logic..........but more impotantly! with Live 4. If they can 'recover' why can't Logic, Cubase, etc........

Even with the bugs! Live wins for me!

Anyone want t buy Logic 6.4 Pro?

Imagine if Serato, were to join forces with Live!!!

What a wonderful world!

If anyone says that they have had no problems with the Live?logic intregation, I shall stike the upon.....whoops.....forgot!

All due respct and all cheeky but cmd/s or whatever ain't exactly hard to master..it's totally second nature for me. I do a lot of music and text editing and not saving after each cut/line is just...wrong. I've lost data in the past and know how it hurts so now even watching someone else work and not save gives me the heebeegeebees, I'm always there saying "Dude, hit save"!
In contrast I never liked auto-save functions as they might save just when you decide that wasn't what you wanted and want to undo, unless they're intelligent and use incremental file names.....even so, I'd rather make my own decisions and save for myself.
Live/Logic-wise, no big issues here...then again I don't push it too hard as a combo

There are always those moments when you get carried away, or it's simply not possible to save. For example i just did a sound recording gig - 3hrs of uninterrupted recording, so no opportunity to save. I get to the end of it and immediately it crashes for some reason (this is in Adobe Audition which is also brilliant at recovering). The program quits completely, so I'm shitting myself as several hundred dollars of work are at stake, but i reboot and it recovers it all and i manage to save the project, and my ass. Talk about heart failure - mine must've stopped for a good minute or more.

Get a DAT and take a backup, 3hrs is too much work to risk, especially on some kind of performance....yikes!!

Yeah, it was pretty stupid on my part, i must say! Have actually been looking into some of the mp3 players out there, as an alternative to DAT, seems a pain to use something linear when the technology is there for recording directly to an audio file. But then again those things are mini-computers too, so for safety's sake, a dat does make sense. I'm amazed the pro-audio companies haven't fully jumped on the idea of portable hd recorders, there aren't many and the ones i have seen are still literally 10x the price of the consumer hd jukebox devices (which of course are rather low quality).[/tangent]
