F___ It

Post by Spackled Bat » Sun Mar 09, 2008 7:48 pm

I posted a new track on myspace. It's kind of an experiment in bass.

Check it out and let me know what you think.

Hey, I like your stuff -- I dig the abstract and minimalist aspects.

F It sounds conquered or defeated.

You seem to have quite a sense of humor to make such dark music; interesting combination! =P

Love the beats on Wire Fromice.

I feel like the stuttering guitar in The Fall is telling me a story, very cool.

Thanks dn. I really appreciate the feedback.

It is very helpful for me to hear what others pick up from my music.
I don't have many friends that really listen to electronic music so I sometimes feel like I'm making these songs
in a vacuum, which I know is not good. Getting some opinions from others is very encouraging.

I totally agree -- you've got to have encouragement to go along with inspiration.

hey spackled bat, like the new tune, it's very low tech-tribal sounding, neat! Already a fan of your other stuff too, you make cool tunes. I too have hardly any friends into electronic music, so I know what you mean about the vacuum! No worries, man - you are certainly doin' your thing, which is cool. We can be our own worst critics at times - ignore the vacuum, you just know if it's good or not, don't you?

Cheers,
DarKsLide

@ polyslax, thanks a lot man. I really appreciate you taking the time to listen and comment.

@ jamers, thank you. I do know what I think is good and I love to experiment. I can be my own worst critic.
However, I want to keep improving the sound of my tracks and keep learning new things.
Sometimes it helps to get an outside perspective and a little encouragement never hurts.
I've learned a lot of tricks and techniques on this forum but sometimes I just want to hear what someone else thinks.
Thanks again to everyone who has helped me out with that.

Good point. I didn't mean to say in any way that you don't need feedback, cause getting opinions and support, etc is always great. Just sayin' I think your stuff is great, and you must know it! I know, we as musicians are never truly satisfied, but you should step back and be proud of what you do.

I originally thought that by the title of the thread and song you were frustrated! lol that's kinda why I responded this way.

Anyways, keep it up! Can't wait for more!
