Midi Overdub Bug

Post by MarkH » Mon Aug 30, 2004 1:12 am

I emailed this to support as well, but when recording a 4 bar loop in midi overdub, wherever the marker is when you press 'stop' will slice the clip into two clips. You must then hi-light both clips and select 'consolidate' to make them a single clip.

I believe this is a bug because:

A) The purpose of setting up a 4 bar loop (or any number of bars) is to record a phrase and then edit if desired. Not have it sliced into two seperate phrases.

B) Once you've pressed stop and the recording becomes 2 clips, only one of them can be edited/played back at a time in the midi clip editor thus making my phrase a partial-phrase instead.

I hope someone addresses this issue as after recording many loops, it becomes slightly counter-productive.

Thanks,
MarkH
