no light issues with clips, and if you switch scenes the lights are retained when you switch back.
i get visual feedback for clips, and if you set the clip to trigger via gate mode you can turn the clip on and off with a pad!
try out the default setup and then decide what you want to change.
I think more then 16 scenes and the defaults don't work right as the cc's are still the same for all the pads.. I dunno on that for sure, but it was like that before, so more then 16 scenes and you need to assign cc's for each pad.
checkout the example config files in the .dmg those will help you begin.

Doc,
Are you saying thats its possible to assign all 16 pads within a scene to 16 clips within a channel.
Selecting the next scene will turn off the previous clips light?
I normally use Live to dj and split tracks into sections.
Oh, and hows the step squencer coming on, i've been using the version you made for the pksquared App,
thanks

^^^ yes that's exactly what I'm saying
and if you use follow actions you can watch the lights move around.
you really need to be using the farmpad version of the step sequencer, it's much better:

It would be possible to download the demo for live 7 and then rebuild the setup yourself into live 6...
Ableton Live 8 controlled by Automap Universal? Second our request at this topic!

^^ the easiest way to do this would be to compare the 7 set to the 6 set you have, and create the changes accordingly. There is quite a bit of difference tho,.
In the 6 set with pk[squared] it took 3 midi tracks for each sound. This lead to a total of 48 tracks plus the two instrument tracks.
The seven set has four total tracks.

Doc,
please could you answer a few questions about your farmpad sequencer?
I opened it up on a mates computer to see if i could build it in live 6.
can you explain how you managed to decrease the number of midi channels as compared to your pksquared creation?
How do the light feedback if none of the pads are programmed to notes?
I've cracked farmpad, just got to copy and paste some config files.
Really wont to start rocking this in live 6. I started using the pksquared squencer but had many problems with the lights.
Farmpad is just what i was looking for.
cheers
