Unbelievable.

We don't need decent musicians any more just more theory! Deadly

And you still won't be able to record automation in session view.

Perhaps. But on the other hand, i still believe you need ears to produce. You need to be able to hear that the chords are good, how the progressions work. You have to be able to feel it in your body.

But this means that the musicians will be behind the desks.

Music is not just theory, but theory can help the music surely. But i don't doubt (most) the good producers of today's are musicians!

So its not that deadly. Rather the opposite, its damn cool :P

Vocalists though are fading away. They are becoming more and more like faces that just have to look good, and the producers make them sound good (or if they sound good, even better)

I wonder when the time comes and they can do it live though. Many of the pop stars sound like poop live. Real live of course, they still sound good when lip syncing eh

And i wonder when the time comes they don't have to wear something like 100grams of black latex to be noticed

i'll shut up now before popslut tells me that i got no clue what i'm talking about, and truth is, its just based on some random thoughts done by me while i sit here having a coffee break

I wonder how far you can split up things. Imagine taking a complete song and have all the tracks instantly separated, free for you to shift them in pitch however you like!!!!
hehe
i doubt this version will have that, but i can imagine in another decade you can import an mp3 and Ableton will generate a .ALS file with all the multi tracks! haha
:P
i doubt it. well have tons of unused and not needed instruments though, while still no means to record into session view and no track folders. ;)

ontopic: the only thing i dislike about melodyne is that its not real time so you have to analyze your audio first. imagine beeing able to this realtime on the fly in the middle of a jamsession. ohyeah.

And look what happened to him. He got AIDS and died. So, ask yourself: AIDS or autotune?

Suit #1: I mean, have you got any insight as to why a bright boy like this would jeopardize the lives of millions?
Suit #2: No, sir, he says he does this sort of thing for fun.
