Anyone have a copy of the MPD24 update instructions?

There is an operating-system update on Akai's website for the MPD24 that seems to hold open the promise of being able to use the transport controls with Live ("Add MIDI CC functionality to the transport buttons").

Unfortunately, it appears that at the same time AKAI added the system update to their website, they removed the installation instructions.

I have asked them to send me the instructions, but I'm sure that will take a while. Meanwhile, has anyone out there saved the instructions?

Who says the transport control will work with the latest update?
And what update is it?
The latest i can find is 1.07 and it's from April 07!

No one said it will work. I said it appears to offer the possibility of working, because it now sends MIDI CC functionality (rather than sending only sysex information as it did in the past).

It is update 1.09, and it is on the akaipro.com website. However, the update instructions are not there.

Does transport control work on the update for the MPD24.....those lonely, neglected buttons need some lovin'! If anyone knows I'd appreciate a confirmation of this rumor.

Why should 1.09 work different.

The updat doesn't work on my Mac!!??
After downloading is done, the MPD24 does not reboot and nothing happens. I had to load the v1.07 again to get it working.

Anyone else had this problem?

Yes, I did. In fact I was just going to post the fact.

I was also able to get it working again with 1.07. So I tried again and now I have an expensive paperweight.

Fortunately it's still in warranty -- back to Akai it goes.

Today I finally succeeded!
You have to download the mpd24_v1_09 file, using the right mouse button and choose Save Link As...
Then it starts downloading a .zip file, which I expanded with StuffIt (I'm on a Mac of course)
Then you finally get a working file..!!!

do you have the transport buttons working now
and did you intall 1.09 in the way they did with 1.07?

No, the transport buttons are not working. I guess Ableton has something to do here!

The install procedure is the same as with the 1.07
