How to get rid of the bass sound on my guitar

Post by rakshas » Thu Mar 13, 2008 6:03 pm

My guitar sounds extremely bassy when recorded. Do I just apply a low pass EQ8 filter on the channel or is there a more effective way to cancel or lower bass?

Anything is better than a lowpass filter for removing bass.

Try a high pass filter (autofilter or EQ8) if you want extreme fx, otherwise a noth or shelf should be OK as well.

The best thing to do is get a better recording.

Lower the bass EQ on your amp, use a real amp instead of a direct input/amp simulator... or choose a better preset on your amp simulator.
