Midi settings required

I have a m audio fast rack pro and a m audio x session midi controller,could you tell me what midi settings I should highlight and which ones I should leave alone,

Depends on what you wanna do. It's described in the manual, actually.

I'm guessing you should set X-session in1 to "Remote". The X-session has pots rather than endless encoders, right? So it doesn't need midi feedback from Live. If they're endless you could set the out1 to "Remote" as well.

That's it if you don't have any external synths hooked to your midi interface.

All I have is a m audio x session .....................the sound card has come up in the preference's as well,do I need to select this,.................m audio fast track pro......
