automation out of time
been noticing for a while that some of my drawn in automation has to be nudged slightly to be on time. depends on the plug-in, tho i think i've had to do it for native plugins too. anyone else notice this?
I've never noticed anything like that.
except tempo automation, which has a minimum resolution of 16th notes, apparently.
Some plugins have an attack time built-in (like Compressor), maybe that's what you are hearing if you have to nudge that one forward in time???
What plugins, what version of Live, what OS?
And are you juding this by ear, or by eye?

it's on all diff kinds of plugins, noticing that for example a filter cutoff or octave selection doesn't jump at the beginning of the first note of a measure, when it's clearly drawn in time (using the draw tool, and live's natural quantization). i'm in the newest version of live, tho i've noticed it since 6. windows xp. it's a bunch of different plugins, which is why i assume it's a bigger "issue". it's not debilitating, was just wondering if anyone else had run into it. thx for the quick response.
