Anyway, if I disable airport, everything is fine and smooth sailing up past 70%, with airport on, it's hit or miss after 30% concerning glitches and drop outs.
It must a combination then of leopard and the newer macbook pros and their airport hardware. Airport being on has no effect for me.
Coolbook does help get rid of glitches past 70% though. And it's worth buying so that you can adjust the speed stepping for battery and adapter individually as well as adjust voltage. You don't want to run it at max voltage (default for max speed), it'll fry your computer. The real purpose of the app is to lower the voltage for every speed step in order to cool the temp, but you can also set it to max speed always for adaptor with much lower voltage than normal.

Are you sure its a macbook/coolbook issue? Because Logic Pro is working like a dream on the same system? I notice similar performance differences between Live 6 and Logic Pro. And Im using the latest iMac..

Logic is developped by mac, for mac, maybe it explains why logic have no problem.
It's not only live having problems btw, protools and some other encounters some weirdness too.
They also have probs with video apps afaik, the only one running finer is final cut and again it's mac code for mac stuff

check your latency in the preferences. Maybe it,s to high or to low.
