Faderfox
How many on the forum are using Faderfoxes with Live. I think it would be great to have a user group. They're pretty sophisticated gizmos despite their size

i have a DJ1 combined with a LV1
as a DJ i find both the LV1 and DJ1 quite sophisticated pieces of hardware.
last nite was the first time i tried them
and altho on my laptop i didnt get the sound right but when i put them on my main PC it was amazing.
the faders are small compared to many DJ mixer and i think i will feel a bit emberassed using them on stage
but they deliver and thats whats important.
I must test them more and get used to them
they come with pre-fabricated presets for Live
so u just double click the preset and u have all the parameters u need.. and more if ya need more

if i was to buy a faderfox the lx1 would be it. I love triggering clips/arm/record externally.hoffman2k wrote:My lx1 should arive anytime now. anybody else using this one? Never can have enough knobs/buttons/faders/...
Let us know what the unit's like when you've had a chance to play with it for a while. I'm beginning a controller project *very* soon, that will resemble the lx1, so any info would be appreciated !

Maybe you should have a chat with the guy who makes these modules. thats really what got me sold in the first place. I just hope they arent cheap an plastiky. But for the price payed one could expect some quality. He's currently working on two other modules. one like the kaoss pad. and a universal controller with endless knobs, led rings and joysticks. He also said he's open to suggestions and probably checks the forum sometimes because i've seen him around here. Anyway, i'll keep you posted. But somehow i doubt there will be anything negative to say with having 4 times 64 buttons.
I agree. Tank-like quality. I did not read up on this unit before i bought it. Turns out the knob at the top is for selecting scene's, slots,....
It's awesome. If somebody comes near me when i'm performing. I'll smash his head in with this unit
it's wel thought off. rubber taps to prevent sliding. some templates to get started. works plug-and play.
and here's the awesome part. Try making chord-progressive arpeggio's with this. you feel like your playing an 8-octave keyboard with one hand
It gets 9/10 from me. one point of for not being able to assign the controller messages myself. Otherwise i advice it to anybody with a button-fetish.
