clip view time division / manual glitch edits question

Hey guys,

I've run into a little problem when toying around with a vocal line I wanted to cut up. I recorded it as a whole in arrangement view and wanted to go berserk on it, albeit without using beat repeat. I zoomed in until the grid in arrangement view changed to 1/128th but when I isolate a part of the vocal, I can not get that segment any shorter than 1/16h note, I can grab the end marker of the clip but I can't shorten it any more than to 1/16th note. Is there any possibility to do that? I noticed that the time division in the clip window says 1/16th and I wonder if that's what I need to chnge (and if so, how to change it).

I hope I'm making some sense but it's late, actually I'm giving a new meaning to bedroom producer...making it more "bed producer"...which is not to say I produce beds but...

I'm going to sleep now and hope for an answer when I wake up.
