Modeselektor live

Post by dm_hawk » Sat Mar 22, 2008 8:44 am

Just saw them tonight in Brooklyn. Holy shit - that was a hell of a show!!!!

Anyone know what their live setup is, particularly what software they run and how the tweaking duties are divided?

yeeeaahhhh modeselektorrrrr (in fact one of the guys is half Romanian like me :D)

if i remember correctly when i saw them in Bucharest, they had a max msp patch called
djichad made by fellow Apparat.unfortunately it cannot run on my intel only on my powerbook.it is indeed a very nice environment.
i think this is what they had one year ago and maybe they are still on it.
cheers

I saw modeselektor a few times, and they really kicked the donkey's arse everytime. Im more into their "Dancehallektro" stuff than the pure Raveexcess, which sometimes goes hand in hand. Equipmentwise i know about Djihad and Lemurs and some 5 years ago they used the Tascam US-428.

favourite MS track at the moment: Let your Love grow

it looked like one of them was using the tascam US-428 + dschihad, the other was using a bcr-something. i wasn't able to see their screens to confirm, though.

-thanks for the link, herr prof henke!
