Audio dropouts/crackle/glitches

Post by Guest » Sun Oct 27, 2002 7:46 pm

I'm on os9 and osx and I sometimes experience audio dropout/crackle when triggering a loop.
Once that loop is triggered and has crackle on it, the crackle continues to be heard on the loop EVERY TIME that it re-cycles, until you turn it off and back on again.
Also when recording an arrangement, if a clip gets crackle on it when you trigger it, the crackle is heard every time you play back the arrangement.

Maybe you could have something that detects glitches and will automatically re-trigger the sample, so that you don't hear the glitch continue every time the loop re-cycles.

Hi i also had this problem and ableton are aware of it,
as a work around what i did was to change the transient res
in the warp box to a different setting this seamed to work.
It's something to do with interpolation errors between some live
granular segments (so ableton say) good luck
