problem mapping eq three to midi controller's knobs

I'm having a little problem trying to map a knob on my midi controller to the eq three knobs like for exemple the mids.
The problem is that when I map the knob, the mids are only at zero when the knob is at about 3oclock instead of being at 12 oclock(in the middle position like on normal dj mixer.
does anybody have a solution for this?

That's just the way EQ3 is, it's a common complaint. Use EQ8 instead is the only option.

do you get the same quality as with the eq three with the eq eight for dj set?
