technical advice please

Post by iivanov » Thu Mar 27, 2008 4:39 pm

so I made this track for a school project (computer music applications class) covering live, and I want to take this opportunity to really get some advice on how to clean it up because it sounds really muddy and I feel like I really suck at mixing and mastering.

it's made up of phillip glass samples and there is operator, sampler and impulse used. I am using live 7. any suggestions on how to make it sound cleaner and to make certain parts stand out more would be terrific!

Check out this thread. Lots of good advice in there.
It helped me develop some consistent practices when it comes to getting a better mix.
That and lots of practice.

that's pretty hard to follow and seems messy. I was hoping for some suggestions pertaining to the piece I did.
