well.... they don't..... lifetime free upDATES is what you get. very different indeed. I would have mentioned it there but it was such a long thread I figured it would entirely get overlooked by the people who originally made those comments.

This might be hard to believe but buying (the online version of) FL Studio not only gets you the latest version of FL Studio but all new updates released.
This means you'll receive FL Studio 7.5, 8.0, 9.0, ... absolutely free. We believe you should have the functionality you paid for bugfixed for as long as we develop it.
Even so, I'm still not going to use Fruity... the workflow and interface is horrible for me.

Of course they dont let you buy the cheapest version and then give you the most expensive version. I don't believe anyone thought that.

if some one did say "upgrades" instead of "updates", I'm pretty sure everyone knew what they meant. I think that free updates for life is pretty generous, and I have no idea how they can afford to do it. IS their userbase really growing fast enough to support that? Is there that much money in being the number #8 or #9 DAW on the planet?One of the most exciting aspects about (the online version) of FL Studio is that all updates are FREE for LIFE! This means that you're guaranteed to receive version 8,0, 9.0, ... absolutely for free.
It baffles me.
Synthmaker ... for free ?
I would class that as an upgrade anyway !
