I was looking at those new Eee laptops and I was wondering then already if it would be possible to run Ableton on Linux... appearantly it is!
Is it running smoothly? Or did you conveniently placed the Control Center Panel over the CPU meter to hide you can only run 1 audio track and 1 midi track, max?
nah... just kidding.
I'm happy for you, but I think I stick to my mac os!

tell us more!
and why the devil are you running as root?
Suit #1: I mean, have you got any insight as to why a bright boy like this would jeopardize the lives of millions?
Suit #2: No, sir, he says he does this sort of thing for fun.

Wine is not an emulator, yes yes. Did you have to do any special configuration?

Give us all the details, otherwise this could be a photoshop job for all we know.
Ableton’s engineers are hard
at work developing code that will allow our software to predict the future, but we don’t
anticipate having this available until at least the next major release.
