Trigger Finger or Korg Padkontrol?

Post by buckman » Fri Mar 28, 2008 12:24 pm

Which is better?

(Theres only one way to find out - fiiiiiiiiggggght!)

No seriously,.

Am looking at a pad controller for Ableton to use with the slice to midi track function so i can assign cut up samples to the pads like an MPC, and also use the MIDI out on my old Akai sampler for some MPC style action! as i believe both have MIDI out for hardware?

I have the M-Audio Radium keyboard, and know that m-audio stuff is easy to map to,etc - and do both actually COME with a PSU or are they USB powered, as I need the psu if im using MIDI hardware?

Thanks

+1 on padkontrol, if you can live without aftertouch.

edit: just noticed the PSU question - my padKontrol came without a power supply (powered through USB), but power supply is an option.
