I asked this on the Roland forum and didnt get a response....
I've got a Fantom X6 and I want to know if its possible (and how to) to run my Trigger Finger MIDI out to the MIDI in on the X6 and control parameters in the synth. Or would this not be possible b/c of the "plug & play" drivers needed to run the TF as normal on a computer?
I've spent hours reading the MIDI implementation chart in the X6 manual but none of that makes much sense to me. I understand MIDI channels and messages and all that jazz, but just not sure how to go about this one.
This is was my first major synth/ workstation and its taken over a year of owning this beast to finally grasp all it can do. And then they go and drop the Fantom-G......wish i would have known that thing was in the works. Looks & sounds amazing! I'd choose it over the Motif anyday, but thats just my opinion.
