I am so lost. What do I need to record audio...?

Post by JonyeWest » Mon Mar 31, 2008 1:48 am

So I just bought Ableton Live... I have a cheap $13.00 computer mic and stuff. I eventually planned to buy some mics and such... but I have no idea where to start. Ableton doesn't recognize said computer mic. do I need to make a midi purchase now, and if so, what do I get? and how much am I looking at spending??

Any advice would be appreciated!!

if you are on pc, go to www.asio4all.com and download+install the driver. then switch live to ASIO and set up the mic in the asio4all panel. should be pretty straight forward.
