Severe glitching

Post by Oortha » Wed Apr 02, 2008 8:37 pm

suddenly - with or without external soundcard operating, live does not function without severe glitching from the word go. the cpu is higher tho not through the roof. the only current change to my mac was a recent and seemingly standard security update - anyone help?

I got exactly the same issue with this week's Mac OS X security update...

looks like Apple can't do any update withtout completly ruining the performance... just like it did with 10.4.10...

I have same problem, tried reverting back, but didn't help - check out the thread on the General Forum for some more info... I'm considering upgrading from Tiger to Leopard just to get rid of this horrible bug!

Upgrading to Leapoard may get you even more problems... last time I upgraded to 10.5 my CPU usage rose for the same tasks and I couldnt use my live setup anymore...

It's the darn Airport Extreme Update.
If you turn your Airport down the CPU spikes stop.
But with such a lovely solution!

For the ones who suffer the Airport update, I've found this:

Haven't tried it yet, but hope it helps!
