remote25 doesn´t transmit midi clock

Post by roland » Mon Sep 06, 2004 10:12 am

Hi

I work with Ableton Live and the Remote 25. It´s a good combination, though one thing is annoying. I can´t get the remote 25 to send midi clock. If I use my emagic mt4 it works. But I never got it working with the remote. I just installed the new Remote OS 2.1.02 and hoped it would help but it didn´t.

Anybody having the same problem or even better a solution for my problem?

Haven't tried it yet but I don't think the remote 25 can send a MIDI clock on its own. It's supposed to transmit a MIDI clock received on its input from another piece of gear but that's all. I will verify though.

o.k. it´s not clear what I want to do. I want LIVE to be Midi Clock Master. The Remote25 is connected via USB and is my midi interface. I use it to control LIVE, to play sounds from Reason (rewired to LIVE) and to play sounds from my external Synth (Novation KS Rack) connected via midi cable to the Remote25. All works perfect exept that I can use the arpeggiator of the Novation KS synced to the speed of LIVE. The midi clock doesn´t get through the Remote25 to my synth. If I use the MT4 it works. Why?
