1. Who checks a laptop?
2. Who doesn't make a backup of 7 months worth of work on a new album?

Good call, I mean really! Well I hope he learns his lesson.
From the stories I've heard it's a wonder that the laptop made it in checked luggage at all!
A good friend was moving from Sweden to the US and all the electronics (digital camera, Camcorder etc) went missing from checked luggage. He told me the airline said it was common for luggage routed though Atlanta.

maybe he didn't have an album after all. The record label probably thinks so too. Think about it..

i dont feel his pain..what a knobhead.
fortunately i had never listened to him before and now that i have i think its for the best that its gone, he should look at this as a sign.

Although didn't he (or his assistant or whatever) mention that they were able to play live versions of the new tracks as he doesn't use the lappy for live performances? Meaning he probably does have new material.. maybe.
