I have a Belkin 7 port USB hub that has issues keeping 4 devices constantly connected. I often have to switch the ports around or power cycle to get the connection to reappear.
These devices are connected:
Nord Modular G2
AMT 8 midi interface
TM-1 turbomidi
Novation Xiosynth
Only the turbomidi is bus powered, everything else is powered off their respective power cables.
I heard about similar issues regarding the powerbook not getting enough juice to USB devices, but in my setup, only the turbomidi is powered that way; so I'm thinking the hub is faulty.
Can anyone recommend a solid powered USB hub with at least 4 (preferably 7) ports? If tested and run with a powerbook, even better.

The Belkin I'm using is powered. As I mentioned in the original post, I often have to power cycle it to get some of the ports to be recognized.
It's likely a combination of the Belkin and the low power of the PB USB port that is the issue. If anyone has had experience with a reliable powered hub, let me know the make and model.
