Post by jimmybird » Mon Apr 07, 2008 11:56 pm

The most basic question of all..how do I save my Live files as MP3's?

Live does not have a "save or export to mp3". You must convert it in something else. There are many free ways. Like iTunes.
MBP | Live 9 Suite | Max for Live | Push | MOTU Ultralite | iPad | Analog Modular Synths | Moog Voyager
aka "Tempus3r" | Music | Blog | Twitter | Soundcloud

if you're on PC, CDEX an open source program is really good.

I don't recommend Itunes on PC for anything (unless you are transferring tracks to an Ipod), although it works great on a mac.

If you have other programs like SOundforge or Cubase (the high end version, the cut down versions you have to pay extra for mp3 conversion, ditto SOnar) that would work for you too.

Or Audacity, a freeware audio editor.

Itunes works flawlessly on PC for me, but I wouldnt crush to mp3 with it either as you cant use LAME as a codec.

CDEX is great, and lets you LAME away.
