FW1082 with Leopard?

Post by twolf » Tue Apr 08, 2008 12:43 pm

Has anyone got the Tascam FW1082 to work as a midi controller for Live 7?
I'm using a Macbook Pro running Live 7. I have the latest 1.6.0 driver from the Tascam site.

I've got it working in Logic now, but not in Live 7.
I've tried using it in its native mode and also tried the Mackie emulation.
Ableton seems to talk to my FW1082 but not the otherway round?

with my 1884 (big brother version of what u got i think) i have to set it up in prefernces > midi sync > beside where it says mackie control you have to put the tascam control port under both input and output. that way its sending a signal to and from the tascam. hope that helps. good luck!

nate, I owe you one! You don't know how much this has been doing my head in!

I must have tried every setting but that one!

On my PC that I used to use, I only had to set Mackie emulation for output.

Thanks again dude!
