Can't see the arrangement

Post by Calder9 » Wed Sep 08, 2004 1:00 pm

I just started using Live (Version 2.1 for Delta). When I load the demo I can see it and play it in session view but when I switch to arrangement view the tracks are blank and I can't see any events. Has anyone else had this problem?

Thanks

There won't be anything in the arrangement view until you record something.

Can't see the arrangement

Yes, I'm starting to get it. Sorry, just a beginner and the documentation is not clear. I'm still working out what the arranger is for.

Record? You mean play my guitar or MIDI instrument while the session is running?

Thanks

Yes, well, no need to have a session "running" (if by that you mean "playing"). Can you record a MIDI instrument in Delta 2? (I never had that, I only had 1.5 before I got Live 4).

Put some loops in the session view, hit record, start a scene, switch to arrangement view.

Ah, that was the clue I needed. The arrangement view is for recording the results of triggering various themes in the session.

I wish the manual had told me that.

Thanks!
