Online jamming would be cool, although I think we're a ways off yet.

A dude that I work with recently gave a "performance" on Second Life. Singer/songwriter that piped his guitar and vox through interface and streamed it (I guess?) live to others. The seed has been planted......

In the meanwhile though, I agree with the idea of an extension of the forum for posting sets. I've listened to a lot of users' tunes here and really enjoy them. However, it would be twice as cool if I could watch them as I listen.

I suppose that there would be hesitation in "letting the cat out of the bag" but being able to see and share someone's techniques would absolutely produce even better music from this community. And more fun for all.

Personally, I would certainly share my material. Unfortunately I'm not very strong with my Live skills as of yet.....

I myself feel quite lonely in my room playin my sets by myself. Every now n then i gather up some ppl there and sometimes i even get some gigs.

For lonesome abletoners like me it would be an amazing experience to be able to play my sets online and together wt ppl from around the world.

In the same manner as Counterstrike and COD, Ableton users should have an online interface that allowed them to log onto a server and jam wt eachother.

Listeners could tune in and rate the performances and exchange tips n tricks wt one another. Musicians could have the possibility to see how other Live users arrange their sets and settings. Multiple back-2-back where Live users take turn to play.

Basically: theres no end to the possibilities! Why havent Ableton done anything about this?
you already can do that with max and a network connection :-)
