i understand your frustration Ernie5, i'm in the same boat, doing organic hiphop-beats through reason and then playing bass, guitar, and percussions over that into live, and I bust flows in live too. I'm new to live so I'm not sure how its all working out yet. but it is working. I think.

Does it sound good? How many tracks are you recording?

Sorry about that -- it was me (I neglected to log in). I still fear I'll have to go DP3, Cubase SX etc ... to record audio before I can get into Live.
I wasn to record at least 16 tracks of audio (drums, guitar, bass, horns) in 24-bit.

ok...so i went back and tried the 'ugly interface', lo and behold a rewire option exists, but it doesn't seem to work. live doesn't recognise the inputs. so how'd ya do it?

no, theres no good reason...
live can record audio input in 24bit ...
if u dont use timestretching , the recorded audio plays back
in the same quality as cubase or whatever would....

i use it for that, cause quantized recording is really great
and intuitive if youre a one man band holding a guitar and fiddling
the mouse at the same time...

cant believe people still speak of profesional vs. non profesional audio
apps...sounds so stupido to me in these '32bit float audio' times...

theres about 1000 apps out there to make GOOD music,
so called profesional or not...

what is leigh marble's ugly interface? what is the web address. does it support Vsti and can you rewire it to live???
