Live crashes when dragging AIFF files!

For some strange reason in either Mac OS 9.2 or 10.2 Live 1.5.2 crashes whenever I try to drag AIFF files to the Session window. In addition, OS 9.2 says "type 3 error" It only crashes with AIFF files exported from cdxtract 4 r5. WAV files and other AIFFs from other sources are ok.

I figure it might have something to do with the files' attributes or permissions or something. Anyone have this problem?

hmm, this sounds like a corrupt file, but live should not crash anyway.
can you be so kind and send one of these files to [email protected]
and describe your problem.
we should at least be able to fix the crash !

This is happening with me using Mac CDXtract4 r5 also. Any aif converted from AKAI comes down HARD in Ableton. Best solution is to convert WAVE and leave AIF alone. IMHO I think it is probably on CDXtracts end since it is a work in progress on the Mac. . .
