In celebration of the arrival of my M-Audio Firewire 410 (audio/midi interface), I have composed and performed a song about my roomates, Randi and Holly.

http://www.djparadox.net/roomates.mp3

The equipment used in the song included my MIDI drum pad, my guitar, my wonderful voice, and Ableton Live 4. Since I was just learning how to use all the features on the Firewire 410 and Live 4, this song took me a little less than two hours to make. It would have been a whole lot easier if I had a MIDI foot controller so I could more easily trigger recording while I played my guitar.

Enjoy. :)

ps i love you ableton live 4
pps yes damnit i know the song is horrible but im still learning hahahhahha

I like it! I'm a great Tom Waits fan so I was afraid that you'd done something horrible with it, but it's cool. It sounds Moodymann-esque at times, which is good. There's a bit too much trickery going on with all the filters and stuff for my taste, but other than that, I like it.

Okay, here are three more:

The Planet - Abstrackshun
Port + Beer + Pot + New audio interface = This track. It was my first effort at live sequencing.

Neetfreeks - French Test
It's a work in progress, probably 80% done. We're going to mix it all down into Pro Tools and apply hardware effects to it. Also probably going to add a few more vocal hits here and there, and maybe a short guitar lick or something.

CHARELS-PAWLT LOV(CHIFKCER)
This guy I talk to on the internet who is really f*cking weird made this one. Not sure how he used Live, but he says he did.

never posted my music here before, so here goes...

a new track done with Live 4 and Reaktor

no name yet, well other than Oct04Track2, which is my way of catalogging my tracks. This may be the b-side to a record Monoid Recs Germany asked me to do, or possibly go on another label, we'll see.

Sorry its real audio, i did that for security reasons - hope you all understand.

Brief description: Balls to the Wall techno, made for the dancefloor, not the lounge chair.
The lead synth and harmony synth are both NI Reaktor. and the drums are in Impulse. All recorded in realtime (no arranger view) direct to .wav via Tape It recording VST.
