The thing that is annoying me is that ebay are now forcing me to put paypal as a payment option.
I have made about 30 sales on ebay. Most of it has been small stuff (50 gbp max) I have accepted cash or cheques (and wait for the cheque to clear). This simple way of working has never caused me problems.
The only time I had a problem is when I sold a guitar for 275gbp and another small item and paypal froze my paypal account.
Anyway I warned you all this was a rant and a fairly petty one at that.
My conclusion is that I will probably give up ebay because I am not prepared to accept their terms. Shame really because it was a mildly diverting way of disposing of surplus gear and getting old guitars.

I'm going to hazard a guess that the lion's share of fraud that takes place on ebay is through western union & cheques
