OT: The Business End of Music

Post by dhilsabeck » Mon Apr 14, 2008 9:45 pm

Hey All,

I was wondering if there are any threads or links that can explain relevant modern music business practices (ie session musician contracts, internet concerns, publishing contracts in the digital era, etc).

Also, are there any books anyone would recommend? I'd rather not confuse myself with hard core legal speak. The simpler, the better.

I understand this is broad and vague, but it's really kind of a starting point for me. There's probably a lot of other points of consideration, basic and not so basic that I should also probably know so any information you think I should consider is greatly appreciated.

Many Thanks,
Drew
