Thanx, just did that:
-more 128 Parameter Support
-move more than one Trackfader at once

Yes please .. +1

Considering I own many plugin synths which have more than 128 parameters (immediate examples coming to mind: Sonic Charge microTonic and Korg MonoPoly), it is very frustrating that I cannot "reach" parameters beyond the limit.

That's exactly the way to put it; supporting more than 128 parameters is a "feature" all right :D

But yep, seriously, in my opinion the current limitation is essentially a bug, albeit it's a functional (but poor) design decision. Maybe someone should start one of these +20000 view threads in the Bugs & Problems forum about the issue, too...

Ableton I'm not sure you want to write this?

Post by DRESIE » Mon Apr 28, 2008 3:31 am

Ableton I'm not sure you want to write this on your website in the Live 7 Features list " VST and AU effects and instruments support"

Something along the lines of "limited MIDI VST Instrument support" would be fine and in fact true not misleading.

Can you at lest put it into the next update or at the most put it live 8 just a simple tick Box in Preferences to give the more midi minded of us a choice. There simply is no excuse for this, you limited this so people would by your instruments. There is alot of other software crepping up behind you, dont forget this!

Now for the love of sanity and to keep your customers happy, please sort this out after all we are the ones that put the food on your tables.

P.S. This midi limit has been causing people to look at other software to invest in. not the smartest subject to neglect in the business sense.

One not very happy customer who may switch to another sequencer!

Already did it. Right now using Sonar, Project 5, and even FLstudio. Ferrchristssakes, even FLstudio has this functionality WITH beizer curve automation

EXACTLY ! selling live as a vst host is MISLEADING. I asked for a refund after buying it -on that limitation alone. But I was stuck with it. I hope Ableton gets hit by a collective recourse and have to refund hundreds of people.
