Exporting audio for protools session

Post by derekten » Wed Apr 16, 2008 11:41 am

Hi Guys

I have a lot of songs that I need to export as audio for a protools session.

My question is:

Do I have to resample each track in real time or is the export audio 'all tracks' function totally reliable.

I only ask as years ago with Live 5 the timing used to drift on offline exports.

Your help is much appreciated !

Thanks

The export feature lets you dump out all tracks at once and it seems perfectly fine to me.

The only issue I had once was if you have the Auto Warp Long Samples (or what ever it is called) set in the preferences. This needs to be off.

Apart from that it works like a dream. When I finish an album I record out each track from a song for archival purposes as I dont know what I'll be using in 10 years If i want to revisit a track.

Thanks Steve.

I'll do it this way then.

I just remember years ago the timing used to drift on the exported tracks... not enough to notice straight away but enough to kill your groove.

I tried it the other day (export 'All Tracks') and it seems fine in PT.
