Thanks for the responses re: auto-connect. At least we're all on the same page here. I see there are also options in GlovePie itself concerning WiiMote auto-detection, but I guess this pre-supposes the Bluetooth connection has been made.

Thanks for putting the WiiMote + GlovePIE on the radar for me. I think it's going to be central to my next homegrown controller. Here's a blog entry about my progress thus far:

The creative potential for the Wii remote is huge, especially for crowd interactivity.

I'm using mine to let the anyone in the crowd fire audio, video, and lighting samples, 'draw' on the video screens, filter sweeps, etc.

Fun!

I assume you mean "using Live with this"? And yeah, what a great idea! Assuming GlovePIE or something like it will support it.

Is the WiiFit peripheral also wireless over Bluetooth?

Yep.

Where the Wiimote is quite revolutionary, I can't see the advantage for the Wii Fit for music/video applications that's not already catered for (FCB1010, etc).

I know nothing about it but wouldn't it be pressure sensitive and detect which directions you are leaning in? in that case it would be way more expressive - you could do what Angstrom did and surf Live

i'll probably grab it regardless

it looks cool

I wonder how many directions you get as far as tilt

It's gotta be at least 8, 4 ways for each foot.

bump for some help?

WinXP Pro
I can get BlueSoleil to see the Wiimote. I load up the MIDIConductor script in GlovePIE, midi yoke 1 is selected as the output, but GlovePIE isn't transmitting. there looks to be a window that shows variables, it looks like waving the Wii should make those values move, they're not.

I think the problem is the Blue Soleil to MidiPIE interface.
In my life
Why do I smile
