VST's frozen in Live, but work as standalone?1

I have a few native instrument products, and they work just fine when I open the up as standalone (all features work, can save, midi etc, )
When I try to use them in Live, everything is greyed out and frozen

any help?

My first thought is that you're trying to use non-UB versions with an IntelMac, but in that case they shouldn't even appear in your plugin folder.

Which ones are you seeing this with? Live version?

I'm using live 5, although I bought live 6 and just haven't installed it yet on my labtop (I'm travelling at the moment)
I use an old powerbook g4
