M-audio usb driver not working help needed please.

Hello,
I got an omnistudio usb and tried to install the latest 1.0.0.8 driver from m-audio, but I can´t get any input into Live 4.01.
I select 4ins/4outs in the omnis control panel, activate all ins/out in Live´s audio preferences, arm the track, select the inputs in the track`s "audio from" dialog, but simply noting happens!
The signal and clip LED´s on the omni light up, so the signal is there, but not in Live nor any other app, like Tracktion!
Playback works a little, but I can´t cue anything in Live, the same signal comes out of both stereo out´s.
I already tried out everything, uninstalled, cleaned the registry, deleted the temp directories etc, then reinstalled properly and device manager shows that everything is ok, but nothing!
Seems that something is corrupted in the installation process perhaps, my onboard xg sound works and my phase 26 usb works too in Live!

So I´m fucked up and it would be nice if somebody could give me an idea what is wrong here or wich specific files I need to delete!:(

Have you managed to sove this problem. I ran into into recently and can't get the inputs on my omnistudio work.

No, sorry!
I've send it back immediately,
as it allows only one stereo signal on both main and headphones out,
so it was unuseable for cueing.
I think the inputs should work after some fiddling,
but can't remember.

My advice:
Try to sell it and get something with usb2 support or fw,
the usb1.1 limits the in/outs to much for such a big and clunky interface.
