Live hangs on "Select Sample Location"...

I formatted my computer last night. I backed everything up to my external HD and reinstalled everything (programs, vsts, samples, etc.).
However, now when i open an .asl file it can't seem to find the sounds for some reason (all of my songs are saved as self contained songs). This struck me as a little fishy at first, but no big deal.
So when i chose 'yes' to find the sample my self, Live hangs when the browser appears.
Any Ideas?

it's actually only one .asl file that i'm having trouble with...

i thought it was a more serious problem
