sorry, but i don´t think so!
was testing the betas too - also with the multiface and cardbus among other equipmant and always had at least 4 output checked in cofig tab and nothing freezed on my machine (pc/winxp)!!
same thing posted by borg in your link above...! even with version 4.01 of live i had not ever had similar problems with different output setups on winxp as you all tell us under os9.
but you may be right, that the bug i mentioned in my reply (the one known by rme in connection with os9) is not the one we are all talking about (that could be an older one)... - sorry bout confusing!!
