Can Ableton pass keyboard commands to VST's?

Can Ableton pass keyboard commands to VST's?

For example, let's say that I'm running a VST that requires me to be able to press the "Delete" key. If I press "Delete," can Ableton send the "Delete" key press to the VST?

I looked in Ableton's Preferences, but I don't see an option...

computer keyboard messages are sent to the active window.

The only plugin having probs with it are the Native Instruments ones.

ueberschall liquid instruments saxophone seems to not receive keyboard messages either

There is a workaround to avoid this behavior

you have to set a switch in options.txt

search the forums you will find a couple of topics regarding the NI plugins issue
