Live 4.0.3 is now online!!!

Post by Alex » Wed Sep 15, 2004 8:31 pm

Hi folks,

like announced earlier this day Live 4.0.3 is now online. It should fix the problem with multiple in/outs of plug-ins are not available after loading a song we introduced with Live 4.0.2.

Below you will find a list of bug fixes and improvements for this version.
To download go to www.ableton.com/download or use the "Check for updates" function from Live's help menu.

You DO NOT need to uninstall a previous Live version to install Live 4.0.3. You can install the new version in parallel. Rather the opposite I would recommend to keep your existing Live version until you have checked out Live 4.0.3.

Have fun with the Live 4.0.3!

Kind regards,
Alex

Happy , i brought this 2GB issue up earlier...now it is worth upgrading for me as i was using Logic Audio to record long live sets bigger than 2GB files.
Thou the fact that Live 4.0.2 stops the recording arownd 2GB file size is a temporarily solution , i guess, because the one has to arm the recording again anf the file breaks up...so i hope Ableton will solve this in the next udates.
thanks Ableton for improving this amazing audio application that changed the way we make tracks , wish other software companies would learn from you on how to astablish a great relationship with its customers.
peace- milka

8) 8) Excellent. Thank you! One thing, I remember it was mentioned that a workaround was on the way for Supatrigga's inability to recall presets - is that covered by any of the changes listed above?

Thankyou Ableton for auto assignment of Hyperthreading CPU affinity too one CPU on starting up.
Makes life alot easier for all us H/T P4 people.
(Well not easier but control/alt/del - processes ,right click - set affinity -close -yawn) Then get into Live session.

Much Thanks

Yes yes yes!!!

A huge thanks to Ableton...this solves practically all the issues I've encountered (including the copy modifier bug which I didn't even think of as a bug :D). Great work, I'll be able to test the thing out over the weekend hopefully...

Milka, as far as i know 2GB is the maximum file size for .aiff or .wav in ANY application. every app i've ever used, on both mac and pc platforms stopped (and sometimes started new files) at 2GB.

do you know of any applications that can record and/or work with files larger than 2GB?

not if you're recording at 24bit, 96kHz or above. Then it's about an hour, right?
