Random Forum props - unmoderated home, sweet home!

Post by leonardrock » Wed Apr 30, 2008 10:37 pm

Just a timewaster but....

I realized that I really like this forum and how real it is. It's a necessary daily web stop.

You have a question? People help you.
You have a stupid/lazy question? People eloquently teach you not to ask one again.
You do something well for others? You are praised.
You wanna pick on somebody? Other people help you, or kick your ass, or kick your group's ass, or change sides mid-fight to end up kicking both asses, or continue kicking your ass from another (and often unrelated) thread.
Wanna learn something new? Plenty of newness.
Wanna help somebody but give them the wrong information? You'll be corrected immediately, forgiven, scorned, purified through verbal pain, and then dusted off because everyone wins in the situation.
Wanna be a prophet? Think it over, but don't worry, people will listen.
Wanna be a producer? Knock yourself out.
Wanna be a procrastinator? Knock yourself out tomorrow.
You feel like swearing? You can, Dipshit.
Like looking at gear? It's here.
Like looking at boobs? They're here. Big, bouncy, perky, pesky, super, saggy, or sloppy.
Wanna listen to something awesome? Hours upon hours of material.
Wanna listen to complete shit? Hours upon hours of material.
Having a bad day at work? Surf on over here and give your boss the "I'm wasting the company's productive money middle finger" -- by participating in all of the above....or none!

This forum rules. Honestly.

What spurred this outpouring of emotional insight you say?

I took a stop over at the Digi forum (at work...) and stumbled upon a thread where users were complaining about the recent lashings of offensive posts. I chuckled, dropped everything, and began to investigate.

Seriously, I didn't find a damn thing and can't see what the hell the uproar is about. Furthermore, I felt proud to be a part of this forum, where we all can speak our mind without tether or tact if need be, yet all reserve a respect for healthy balance.

Proud to be Unmoderated!

I need to be sanitized! Hilarious!

Yes, I do dabble in the Digi. Only when necessary and only as of late because I am now the proud owner of a Leopard-infused, Pro Tools incompatible, MBP.

+1
Proud is the only way to describe it.
What an uncommon privilege, to be uncensored / unmoderated!

Oh and btw:
