My first track i am semi-satisfied with

Post by keithwired » Wed Apr 30, 2008 10:39 pm

Hey guys, just started learning and using Ableton Live over my winter break (December-February) of this year and after the initial learning curve I've finally come up with something I feel is decent sounding. As a disclaimer though before I get ripped to shreds by the veterans around here, this is still an unfinished track and I am also very new to electronic music. I have always been a fan of it, and have been listening to techno/house/breakbeat for years but I just decided a couple of months ago that instead of being a listener, why not make my own shit.

Let me know what you guys think and please be nice  I am still an electronic music n00b.

I'm not sure what style this would fall under, I am still not very good at knowing what the different terms mean in relation to the sound of the music, would this be labeled breakbeat? or techno? or house? or something else entirely?

There are some good individual parts in the song but the mix sounds very muddled and the parts get lost in the mix.
Fixing this will come with experience so keep at it.

Having said that it is not bad for your first track. :)
