Best Track Organiser for DJing
Serato has the best library because it stores all your tracks in a text file in the scratchlive directory. Searching for tracks is blazingly fast - just type ctrl-f and the first few letters of any comment, artist, or track name and the list instantly appears.
You can drag drop from Serato library into Live's tracks too, which is nice, but I don't use Live to DJ, so I don't know if it would be good for what you're trying to do.

well, ill give it a try thenFetimo wrote:You can set it so it's more/ less accurate at getting the bpm and key at the expense of time/ CPU but it's worth giving it a go I think. Although even on the lowest my MacBook's fan goes into takeoff mode so I'm scared to do more than like 2 albums at once before letting it cool down for 5 minutes.
Similar situation really with a lot of genre's but you never know for sure unless you try! Love how it gives recommendations on what might fit.
does ableton tell you what the key is.hambone1 wrote:Live's browser works great for me. When I warp and render a song, I include the tempo and key in the file name. I also include a 'code' that shows which type of intro/outro the song has. ] = instant outro, > = fading outro, etc
It's then easy to search for compatible songs.

i suggest getting to know your OS file browser a little better.
whats wrong with organising your tracks a little better yourself and creating your own schema?
then when you go through the Live browser, you already know where your files are.
worst case, do a ctrl + f or a apple F and search
no need to re-invent the wheel.
