Help! Can't change Input Config.

Post by dix » Fri Sep 17, 2004 12:34 am

Live (4.0.3) will not see any audio coming from my 2408mk3. How do I set this up? In Prefs> Settings>Channel Config, settings other than "Input 1 & 2" do not stick (I need it to be on 9 & 10 but it always reverts to 1 & 2 when I close the Settings window).

Audio From is set to Ext. In.
Input Channel is 1/2.
Input Audio Device is PCI-424 (10 In, 8 Out).
Settings>Channel Config is permanently on inputs 1 & 2.

Thanks

Hi dix,

firstly which computer platform do you use?

Just to understand what you are doing...

In the input channel you have activated "9/10" (green).
In the track where you want to record you choose "Ext. In" and Channel "9/10".

Then if a signal is coming in you should see a small level meter in the channel chooser. If there is no signal, please check the LED's on the 2408 if a signal is coming in there.

regards,
Alex

Similar problem here:
1. Open audio inputs selector in preferences. Currently shows 1-2/3-4 in both mono/stereo (green)
2. Deselect 3-4 mono/stereo
3. Hit OK
4. Open inputs window again and 3-4 still selected in green :(

V.2
1. Open audio inputs selector in preferences. Currently shows 1-2/3-4 in both mono/stereo (green)
2. Add new inputs ie 9-10 etc
3. Hit OK
4. Reopen inputs window
5. Only 1-2/3-4 show

This happens in 0.2 and 0.3 but does not happen in 4.0.1 using identical setup and only in/out 1-2 selected for master/cue etc.

Hi folks,

it is right. There is something wrong. It happens only for the input channel config on OS X. Currently I cannot say what we will do here.

Alex

Alex.

Yup. As you have ascertained I'm using OSX.3.5 (inputs on 2408 *are* seeing input). Sounds like you can recreate the same issue so I'll await an update or a work-around. btw - 'don't have 4.0.1 but this definitely was not issue w 3.x.

Thanks so much for your prompt response!

Live 4 is so completely awesome except for this one little (yet extremely debilitating) problem. Congrats.:D

Hi folks,

please download again the Live 4.0.3 OS X version. This issue should be solved within this version.
Sorry for the inconvenience.

Alex
